LL Cool J Reveals Features from His New Album: Eminem, Nas, Fat Joe, and More

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a year before Eminem, the legendary MC is gearing up towards a release that will bring us a new song with Eminem. Almost 9 years ago, LL Cool J was getting ready to drop a sequel to his highly acclaimed project “G.O.A.T.”. In an exclusive interview with Rap-Up TV, LL made the big announcement: Me and Em have a song. He just recently let me hear his verse and it’s crazy. He’s chainsawing shit. I think people are gonna be pleasantly surprised when they hear me and him on a record together. It’s our first time we ever did something together. This is a record that I think people are gonna be excited. To miss out on this G.O.A.T. 2 album would be a travesty for hip-hop. You can’t miss this shit. “G.O.A.T. 2” didn’t see the light of the day and LL’s collaboration with Em was not revealed back then. Now, LL Cool J is preparing to release his new project, produced by legendary rapper Q-Tip, who came to fame as part of A Tribe Called Quest collective. In a recent interview with 93.5 KDAY, which was recorded but not aired, LL revealed some names that contributed their talents to the album: I’ll tell you something. On the record, we have Fat Joe. I’ve got Rick Ross on the record. I’ve got Nas on the record. I did one with Saweetie. I’ve got Eminem on one. I’ve got a few. There are some joints. This are some exciting news! Regardless of when Eminem recorded his verse for a collab with LL Cool J, we know that it’s going to be fire. Plus, Q-Tip’s production gives LL’s new music such an edge that it sounds both modern and timeless. LL Cool J premiered one of the tracks, “Salute The Sample”, live in the Rock the Bell radio studio and it sounded amazing.
