American singer and songwriter Charlie Puth talked about his rap discoveries and revealed his gateway into the world of hip hop.
The Hip Hop Made podcast produced on Audacy put out a short video of a young star answering the question about his first hip hop experience. Charlie went as far as naming three first albums he bought, and his choice I solid:
The first hip hop album I bought was “The Marshall Matters LP” by Eminem. Out oа Detroit, at Jack’s music store in Red Bank, New Jersey. And the second album I bought was the “Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, which is not a hip hop album but kind of reminded me of a hip hop album. And then I bought “The Chronic”.
Well, Limp Bizkit’s album is technically qualified as rap metal, so Charlie Puth has the right to put it on the list. And his respect to Eminem is widely known. There is only one question we still have to ask Charlie. Where is this collab with Eminem everybody talked about last August?
