“Recovery” has become Marshall’s second studio album to earn over 4 billion plays on the streaming platform.
The album might be one of the most potent depictions of positive change in music history. Still, its performance hasn’t seen much change and remains consistently good through the years. Of course, its success was most dramatic upon the release time. “Recovery” was the best-selling album worldwide in 2010 and the best-selling album in the US in 2010. Yet, it remains the most streamed hip hop album of 2010 till now, being in the Top 3 most streamed records of that year across all genres, according to Chartmasters.org.
Just a couple of days ago, “Recovery” was certified 4x Platinum in the UK, showing that it stays relevant even all these years after the release.
