On Layers where there is more lethal lyricism than on the album’s title track. Featuring
Pusha T and Rick Ross, the Mr. Porter produced single is now boosted with a ruthless
video that shows hardcore aim at a dirty politician. It’s kinda symbol of a world full of broken
promises and failed systems.
First scene showing Pusha T in a sleazy motel room, looking at photos of the politician as he is wearing black gloves. Royce holds up the motel’s lobby before replacing his victim to check in the same dirty politician. Rick Ross’ starts with his usual famous intro ‘Maybach Music’ and his usual character hits the screen doing his usual luxury show, it’s evident everything is about to take a crazy turn, and the final scene is a deep, straightforward look at how politicians’ actions are affecting real people, and what those politicians might face, if held accountable by the streets.
