Australian DJ Talks About Working With Eminem on Rapture Tour

The 2019 Rapture tour took Eminem around the world, giving exciting opportunities for local artists in countries he visited. In Australia, it was hip hop legend, DJ Nino Brown. Ex-DJ and radio host Rush hosts a podcast about sports and hip hop personalities. Recently, he invited DJ Nino Brown and asked him about the time he spent with Marshall. His first big tour was with Snoop Dogg, he toured with 50 Cent and Jay-Z, but playing for Eminem has left the biggest mark, admits Nino. I always tell this story that when Eminem toured, I think, in 2014 or 2015 with Kendrick and J Cole, my manager told me that it came down between me and M-Phazes. And M-Phazes produced a track for Em, and they put him on the tour. Much love to M-Phazes. He and I are friends and he knows this story. But it was dirty! Because, you know, he’s a phenomenal producer but in my mind, I was like, “If I’m the DJ guy I will just do so much damage on that stage!” So yeah, it was a bit dirty but when Em came back around they let me know and reached out. It was about a week out and they still hadn’t confirmed. Apparently, Eminem and Paul Rosenberg have to personally approve everything. So I’m telling everybody like, Eminem! But I really only got the confirmation about a week out. The touring company TEG were super professional. It was by far my best touring experience. It was just a dream come true. DJ Nino Brown had to open the show and then play between the supporting act and Em’s part. To hold a crowd of this size at the Melbourne Cricket Grounds was unforgettable. I was told it was the biggest crowd of all time at the MCG. The records recently were one of the Bushfire appeal events and then Madonna smashed the record, but then Em took it. I think there was something like 87 000 people. It was insane, and the set right before Hilltop Hoods was basically my last time on stage, and it was just bananas. But after the Hoods performs stage got cleared because Eminem performed with Alchemist DJing. But he had an orchestra, so they had to get everyone off and things changed. It was just a massive production. It was insane, dude. Apparently, there was not enough sound gear in any city to do this thing. So it would be like Wednesday Brisbane and then Friday Sydney because they had to combine stuff from all over the country and then ship it. The only problem I got now is that I don’t know what’s going to outdo that feeling. You know, I play at someone’s party. I love playing at your party, man, but you’ve got 600 people, it’s cute. Apparently, his playlist had to be vetoed by Eminem. Nino had a moment of tension with 50 Cent earlier about a certain choice of music, so he wouldn’t make the same twice, but Shady leaves nothing to chance. With Em, I had to actually submit my playlists because they wanted to make sure I wasn’t playing music from any artists that they may not like. Because sometimes, for example, when I tour with 50 Cent on the first night I might have played “Still Dre”. I hate don’t play no Shady Aftermath music. I’m like, cool, I was a funny one. As Fifty’s guys got a little salty at first. I was like, happy to help, bro, but if you don’t tell me I don’t know. So with Em’s thing, I was like, hey, is there stuff you don’t want and they’re like, “Yeah, let us know what you want to play”. I wasn’t playing any Ja Rule records. To be honest, I probably wasn’t going to play them anyway. GRIP Has Got His Song Leaked

The newest Shady Records artist appeared to be involved in the industry drama. A couple of days ago GRIP’s “new” track appeared on Spotify, on the page of a 26 year old producer from Georgia. Titled “The Past” the track was not promoted by GRIP in any shape or form but it didn’t take long for his fans to find it even if it was published on an account with 16 followers. However, after some time GRIP addressed the situation. Apparently, he had no idea that the old off-cut was made public. GRIP tweeted: Shit actually old af & was slick posted w/o my permission but fuk it, enjoy And while GRIP seemingly decided not to make too big of a deal from undercutting his authority as an artist, the streaming platform stepped in. The track is no longer available on Spotify. It had to be done. But can GRIP drop something new now? It looks like his audience is hungry. His Shady debut, “IDFT!?”, dropped in August 2021 and then the “5 and A F*** You” mixtape was released in October 2022. After a US tour with fellow Shady artist Boogie last year, GRIP has something to say, surely. The post GRIP Has Got His Song Leaked first appeared on Eminem.Pro - the biggest and most trusted source of Eminem.

Fans Have Mixed Feelings About Skylar Grey Tagging Eminem on Photo From Studio

Skylar Grey has been one of the most consistent Marshall’s collaborators since “Love the Way You Lie” hit the charts. They have 12 songs together so far. Will her streak continue? Lately, a certain segment of Eminem fans have started feeling tired of Skylar’s presence in Em’s discography and is open to the idea to hear more new names, or more very old names, depending on their taste in music. Another segment of the fandoms is always on the lookout for clues and hints predicting Marshall’s next move. And this is where these worlds collide. Skylar posted a photo of her working in the studio with a couple of producers and captioned it with a self-explanatory: Things are happening… But the thing that excited the Eminem fans the most was the layer with tags. Skylar tagged producers Time and Sage Skolfield, her fiance and collaborator Elliott Taylor, and, finally, Eminem and Rihanna who, obviously, were not in the frame. The most straightforward way to interpret this post would be to jump to the conclusion that they are somehow involved in Skylar’s new project. It happened and some fans were not looking forward to it, while others were happy to possibly get another banger from them. There was also a theory about Skylar’s cameo at Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime show this year. However, it feels to be a little bit far-fetched. If you look closer, you’ll notice that Rihanna and Em are tagged not just close to the border, they are tagged over Skylar’s T-shirt. The same T-shirt with a hand-written song title that Skylar was thinking about selling as merch. To shout out two people who made “Love the Way You Lie” an international hit would be a logical and polite thing to do. Director Reveals Secret Behind Eminem’s Performance From Empire State Building

One of Eminem’s longstanding collaborators talks about shooting a “Venom” performance for the Jimmy Kimmel show. Director James Larese was a guest on the No Jumper podcast when a host asked him about this project opening the topic with a phrase: “You’ve had a chance to work with Eminem”. Well, it’s an understatement. Larese directed two videos for “Relapse” in 2008: “Crack a Bottle” and “3 a.m.”. Since then he collaborated with Em consistently. James’s most recent project with Marshall is his joint with Snoop Dogg, “From the D 2 the LBC”. So he started by pointing it out: I’ve worked very very consistently with Eminem for many many years, since about 2008. So, he was gonna perform. He had this song “Venom” out and he was going to do that performance. They did an actual music video for it as well but this was gonna be a separate live performance that we were gonna shoot live. James could only agree with the praise the host was singing Marshall: Eminem is amazing. He’s a genius. He’s a genius. But the director had to clarify something in regards to calling the Venom video from the Empire state building a “live performance”: Here is the thing. We shot it a week before the Kimmel show before it was gonna air. And it was planned that on the day it was gonna air Kimmel will throw it to them and it would seem as if it was right then. So, because we did that a week ahead of time it had to be a secret. So, how you do that? It could not let be known because then everyone would know it wasn’t live when it actually aired. I mean, people do that all the time when they shoot things. Basically, we had from the 70th floor up of the Empire State Building for about two days. To rehearse and sequence, the lights of the Empire State building to the song, so when we would play the song the lights of the Empire State Building would pulse to the beat. They change it throughout the year, like, for breast cancer awareness it will be pink and stuff like that. They’re always changing the lights. We had it actually pulsating through the beat like this crazy light show. And then we had two helicopters. We had a helicopter that was filming his performance and then we had a helicopter shooting that helicopter shooting him. I wanted to take advantage of the fact that we were actually using a helicopter so I wanted to be able to shoot the helicopter in the shot. James Larese says that he doesn’t even know the budget of the video, but two helicopters certainly fit into it, and James didn’t want to miss his chance. Busta Rhymes Salutes Eminem: “Don’t Stop Ever King!!”

It’s been a while since Marshall got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but Busta Rhymes is still excited about it. It doesn’t matter that other artists celebrated this massive milestone in Em’s career months ago. It is never too late to show appreciation and respect to a person that deserves it. So Busta came onto Instagram to shout out to Eminem: I know I’m Super late on this but I gotta Salute one of my favorite MC’s to Ever touch the microphone and Congratulate him on his @rockhall induction!! @eminem Well deserved and Don’t Stop Ever King!! Eminem Donates Signed Sneakers to Charity Auction

Eminem might not be happy with the Grammy politics and intrigues but it does not stop him from supporting charity efforts. The 2023 MusiCares Charity Relief Auction takes place, as always, following the Grammy Awards ceremony. MusiCares is an organization dedicated to helping musicians in times of financial and medical crisis. The biggest names in the music industry donate items for the auction, raising funds for the organisation. There is no genre or generation divides and the list of benefactors spans from Joni Mitchell and Rolling Stone to BTS and Olivia Rodriges. However, the two names mentioned in headlines the most are Taylor Swift and Eminem. Taylor submitted to the auction her signed custom evermore 2020 Epiphone DR-100EB acoustic guitar. It is expected to bring in $10,000, the highest estimate attached to any of other musical instruments auctioned this year. Eminem provided a signed and worn pair of white Nike Air Max. These sneakers were priced at $500 at the start and were estimated to go for up to $3,000. Yet after just eight bids the price went up to $7,000. A similar story happened last time when Em donated his signed Kangol to the auction. The hat was sold for $6,400, more than 10 times higher that the starting price. The winning bidder will also receive this photo in black and white, signed by Eminem. Morgan Wallen Shows Love to Eminem’s “Kamikaze”

Incredibly successful and controversial country singer Morgan Wallen enjoys himself a little bit of Shady. This “The Voice” alumnus got himself involved in some scandals connected with violence, breaking COVID protocols, and using a racial slur. It didn’t damage his career, on the contrary, the interest in his album spiked, making him one of the best charting projects in recent decades. Sounds like Morgan Wallen is as far removed from Marshall’s fanbase as possible. However, it appears that he appreciates Em’s music and doesn’t hide it. In one of his Instagram stories, he shared “Fall” from the “Kamikaze” album for everyone to enjoy. There is no moral to the story besides one point — Marshall’s influence spreads far and beyond, much wider than one can imagine. The post Morgan Wallen Shows Love to Eminem’s “Kamikaze” first appeared on Eminem.Pro - the biggest and most trusted source of Eminem.

Eminem Surpassed 65 Million Followers on Spotify

Marshall has hit a new milestone in his streaming career. He has not changed his position in the Top 10 most followed artists, remaining at No.8 but the number of his followers looks nicer. 1. Ed Sheeran — 108.3 million 2. Ariana Grande — 87.1 million 3. Billie Eilish — 75.3 million 4. Drake — 71.2 million 5. Justin Bieber — 69.3 million 6. Arijit Singh — 68.1 million 7. Taylor Swift — 66.5 million 8. Eminem — 65 million 9. Bad Bunny — 63.3 million 10. BTS — 60.4 million Marshall is ranked sixth in the followers’ daily gains on Spotify with an average of 44,374 new users joining his following on the streaming platform every day. And mind you, Em marked the previous milestone of 64 million followers three weeks ago, in early January. Em’s audience expands dramatically and he is doing virtually nothing to boost it. 50 Cent Calls Bullshit on Claim That Jay-Z Made More Impact on Hip Hop Than Eminem

Fifty got involved in another discussion that questions Eminem’s contribution. Several days ago, NBA legend Jamal Crawford sat down with Shaquil O’Neil and discussed his Top 5 NBA players employing a comparison with hip hop. He stated that numbers are not important, in defining who is better, just like in hip hop you can ignore Marshall’s sales and declare that Jay-Z made more for the culture. Jamal explained his idea saying, “That’s why my five [is there] the dominance outweighs the number”. And Shaq immediately went, “Nope”. But Jama continued: “You can’t change the game and say, oh, this guy has more points, he’s better. Like, Jay-Z’s effect on hip hop is bigger than any album sells that Eminem will have”. Here Shaq agreed that it was a good point, but many fans left wondering if it was indeed a fact or another biased opinion. Sales seem to be a very convincing argument when they reinforced somebody else’s success and they are swiftly dismissed when Eminem is involved. So, one of many hip hop heads’ Instagram accounts reposted a fragment of this interview asking its followers’ opinions on the comparison. And a big hip hop specialist you might know, the one who goes under the name 50 Cent, left his deep cut on the conversation, commenting with a strong argument: “ha bullshit ”. It is not surprising when you know how loyal and respectful Fifty is to the first rap superstar who put his trust in him. But behind this dismissive comment lies a deeper understanding of hip hop. People often forget that hip hop is a massive, complex and multifaceted culture. Many artists have left their mark on it. To argue who has made a bigger dent in its body is to ignore the fact that the culture is shaped by many. That’s what makes hip hop alive, relatable and important for millions. But to see and value only the contribution from favourite artists shows one as a short-sighted person who cannot see the whole picture and mistakes their views for strong facts. Aftermath Producer FredWreck Shows New Photo From Dr. Dre’s Studio

FredWreck again sends signals from the most mysterious studio in LA. This Aftermath producer works with Dr. Dre, Eminem, SilkSonic, Snoop Dogg and his new project Mount Westmore, and many, many more. He has access to the precious records of Marshall and Dr. Dre that might not even see the light of day. And also he has his hands on tapes that might be released any moment now. He let fans in on some comings and goings behind the scene more than once by dropping hints. And also he let the fans get excited for no reason, just because the fans are eager to hypothesise on the weakest of clues. But it is because of him we knew that MTBMB Side B was coming, we saw Dre, Eminem, and Snoop working on “From the D to the LBC” before it dropped, and gave a glimpse at the Super Bowl Halftime rehearsals. So make of it what you want but FreadWreck posted a new picture. Captioned by a short “Operating Room ”, the photo features a familiar interior of Dr. Dre’s studio, full of equipment. And far in the background, peeping from behind a screen, you can spot a recognisable shape of Dr. Dre’s shining skull. We know that the Good Doctor never stops working. “To Be Somebody Who Could Inspire Change”: All Eminem’s Parts From New Chuck D “Fight for Power” Documentary

In his freshly released new four-part BBC documentary “Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World” Public Enemy’s Chuck D, who also executive produced the show, calls hip-hop a “collective movement”, not just a music genre. And Eminem has his own important part to play in the movement, as evident from the part dedicated exclusively to Em. Rap stars, journalists, and a university professor talked about Marshall’s impact on the culture, and Eminem himself shared some thoughts about what was driving him and some key moments of his career. The big segment about Marshall comes up in Ep. 4 and opens with the outline of public resistance to the war that George Bush Jr started in the Middle East. Reacting to the situation and following his own beliefs, Eminem released a video criticising Bush’s policy and the US invasion of Iraq. He even gave an interview explaining his motivation behind this loud statement of defiance. And it is included in the documentary: I have reached the point where I feel like I’ll be a real let-down for me and my friends if I don’t speak on what I felt from the heart. America is the best place to live. I feel like we live in the best country to live in, there is supposed to be freedom of speech. And we’ve got troops overseas and they are dying. Let’s get that dude out of office because if not he’s gonna spend another four years driving our country into the ground. New York University adjunct professor Marcus Reeves sees it as a pivotal moment in Marshall’s career: Eminem became a lightning rod for those in control of society. He wanted to poke fun at the facade of the hypocrisy of America. Now, real Slim Shady enters the scene and sits down for the interview, bracing himself with a quiet “Oh, boy”. But his mood shifts as soon as he starts talking about his main passion, hip hop: When I was a kid I just loved hip hop. I would just take another rappers’ beats and loop them on a cassette tape and make raps. Just lil’ old me. When all these millions of people were listening to me it was crazy to watch this whole thing, like, people were tripping ‘cause I said that? It made me realise that hip hop is having this effect on me but it’s having this effect on millions of other people too. Sway Calloway, who gave Marshall a platform in his radios studio where Em spit one of his impressive freestyles, attracting the attention of Dr. Dre, steps in: Eminem was a dope rapper. I first met Eminem right after he won the Rap Olympics. He became popular purely because of his talent and his skill set. And the fact that he was a white guy that was outrapping everybody at that time. Killer Mike, a rapper and a social and political activist, sees Eminem not only as a talented rapper but as a pioneer who opened hip hop for a whole new demographic: You can’t talking about Eminem without talking about Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre foresaw N.W.A. and helped create what the gangsta music was. But he also understood that game needed changing. What Dr. Dre recognised in Eminem was that there is a place for poor white people to have say in this culture. Professor Marcus Reeves notes that being white Eminem might have had more freedom but he used his racial privilege to challenge the system: Eminem was not afraid to call out white America and say the word “white America”. Marshall agrees that for him rap was not as much as entertainment than an honest account of the state of affairs: As a kid, you’d see MTV raps and you’d see somebody like Ice Cube saying that “This is we’re basically reporting to you what’s happening on the streets where we live”. And I was seeing what was going on in the neighbourhoods where I lived. Rodney Carmichael, hip hop journalist, also points out that Em brought to the table a perspective unique to that era of hip hop: He’s a white kid out of Detroit. He was able to reflect on white America in a way that even Black artists couldn’t. KRS-One, one of those rappers who inspired Eminem, remembers how honest and personal Em’s early material was, how it provided a glimpse into the world usually not advertised as an American dream: Listening to Eminem’s early stuff, what was going on internally in a white home. He’s writing this up, he’s telling you, “That’s my struggle”. Killer Mike understands that including Eminem and white people’s experience in the culture brought unity, not division: What Em showed a bigger world was to unite people, to understand that everyone suffers undeservingly. He participated in the culture he loved and he brought a new audience with him. But of course, not only early Em’s material was politically and socially charged. Four years of Trump’s administration have exacerbated many festering societal problems, and Marshall once again felt that he should not keep his position neutral. He dropped one of the most politically charged freestyles of his career, “Storm”, condemning Trump, his politics, and his morals, and calling his fans to take a side. Eminem says: At that moment he divided the country. Some of the things that were coming out of his mouth!.. I don’t know. It was getting me angry. You need to be aware of your platform. Sometimes you might need to take a stand and say certain things. I felt like, I wanna take this opportunity to let people who don’t know what I’m about to understand: this is why I’m saying this. This is what I felt I need to say right now. I wanted to make it so that there was no doubt. Rodney Carmichael, hip hop journalist is not surprised by Em’s decisiveness: Eminem is a truth-teller at his core. That’s why he’s a great hip hop artist. He knows that there is a lot of overlap between his fanbase and Trump’s. Which to me is why his call out of his fans is so significant. Marshall confirms that the shrinking of his fanbase has never been a concern for him: If it’s gonna divide my fanbase then so be it. You might divide some people but you’re also can bring so many people together. And maybe I can take this opportunity and this platform I get to be somebody who could inspire change. The power of rap has brought so many people together. So many different nationalities, so many people from all backgrounds and I don’t know if that happens without hip hop. Eminem also commented on some burning political questions and the Public Enemy legacy in Ep.2, “Under Siege”, explaining how hip hop shaped his worldview: When Chuck was, like, “Elvis was a hero to most but he never meant shit to me. Racist, the sucker was simple and plain”, I was, like, “You what?!” You know what I’m saying? Because that’s where I’m getting my education from. But one of Em’s most memorable lines from this documentary addresses the relationship between artists and any hostile power that tries to turn their own art against them: I know rappers will always be attacked by politicians though. A lot of it was just to push buttons regardless. And for you to take a lot of these lyrics seriously is like, you’re a fucking idiot. 50 Cent — “In Da Club” Certified 9x Platinum in US

The RIAA confirmed 9,000,000 units of Fifty’s hit sold in the USA. “In Da Club” is the most streamed, best selling, and, quite obviously, universally loved song from Fif’s catalogue. Well, what is here to say? The intro to this song is now a strong competitor to the traditional “Happy Birthday to You” tune. Lisa Ann Feels Nostalgic About Eminem’s “We Made You” Set

Lisa Ann, an actress who played sexy Sarah Palin in one of the funniest Em videos, treasures her memory of working on that project. Reacting to a Twitter post about “We Made You”, Lisa Ann remembered how excited she was during the filming and how this feeling stayed with her even after the shooting was done: This was one of those days where I was like – “wait is this happening”… I went out on the road and danced to that song every night – re-living the magic! @Eminem #WeMadeYou This was one of those days where I was like – "wait is this happening"… I went out on the road and danced to that song every night – re-living the magic! @Eminem #WeMadeYou https://t.co/OxPvxGmQeC — Lisa Ann (@thereallisaann) January 18, 2023 Earlier, Lisa Ann talked about how impressed she was with Marshall’s creative input into this music video, and how confident he was in front of the camera and behind it, executing his vision to perfection. Eminem — “Music to Be Murdered By” Celebrates 3rd Anniversary

“Music to Be Murdered By” dropped on January 17, 2020, after weeks of speculations, rumours, and anticipation, and still took everyone by surprise. That is the thing with Eminem: he plays with his audience, deceives and misleads, leaves a breadcrumbs trail, and then strikes unexpectedly while everybody looks away. Em’s unpredictable mind games are a big part of his charm, both lyrically and strategically. “Music to Be Murdered By” was his second surprise drop that effortlessly topped the charts across the globe, provoked endless discussions, offended some, and enamoured others. Carefully crafted after Alfred Hitchcock’s blueprints, the album was still undeniably Shady. Em brought some old friends, showcased some young talented rappers and once again met huge commercial success. MTBMB moved 279,000 album units in its first week in the US, and almost half of it was in physical copies. Debuting atop the Official Charts UK, it made Eminem the first artist to release 10 consecutive No.1 albums in the country. The project has been since certified Platinum in Canada, Denmark, New Zealand, and the US. It keeps earning streaming milestones constantly and is currently the fastest of all Em’s albums to gain over 3 billion streams on Spotify. Being his 11th album, “Music to Be Murdered By” is now Marshall’s fifth most streamed album on the platform. In three years it has gained 2.54 billion streams (without counting in streams coming from Side B). “The Eminem Show” Surpassed 4.9 Billion Streams on Spotify

Marshall’s most streamed album has reached the last interim milestone before hitting the 5 billion streams mark on Spotify. “The Eminem Show” is also the most streamed album from its era. The project has been atop the list of albums from the 2000s for months, making more and more streams each week. If in April 2022, “The Eminem Show” gained around 20 million streams a week then since November its gains rose up to 30 million and keep growing. The album gets 5 million daily streams on the platform 20 years after its release and there is only one explanation for this. The interest in Marshall’s music is getting stronger, and rightly so. 50 Cent Apologises to Megan Thee Stallion

When it comes to internet trolling Fifty has no mercy. Nobody is safe from his vicious mockery. But sometimes Fif owns his mistakes and admits he was wrong. That was what he did in a conversation with Big Boy, a legendary LA radio host. Previously, Fif had made a quick judgement on Meghan, decided that she lied about her relationship with Lanez, and this judgement coloured his attitude towards everything she said. Now he has learned more, listened to communications between a perpetrator and Meg’s former friend Kelsey, and has changed his mind. So now Fifty offers his apology for Megan Thee Stallion for implying that she was a liar and for not offering her support: I’m gonna apologise to Megan Thee Stallion. On social media I posted things. When she was with Gayle [King] said: “Were you intimate with Tory Lanez?” And [Megan] said: “What?” and it was like, “No”. And I was like, “Ah, she lying”. I should apologise to her, because when I heard the phone conversation [between Tory Lanez and Kelsey] that made me feel like, “Oh shit. Now I know what happened”. I’m sure that was probably what swayed people in court, too. Grammy Presents Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne and Missy Elliott with Global Impact Award

The Recording Academy Honours were introduced last year to celebrate an artist’s achievements within the music industry. Music executive Sylvia Rhone will also join these three titans of hip hop to receive the award. The ceremony will be held at the second annual Black Music Collective event and official GRAMMY Week event, which takes place Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. said in an official statement: I am so thrilled to honor and celebrate these four giants in the music industry. Last year’s inaugural event was such a highlight during GRAMMY Week and now with Dre, Missy, Wayne and Sylvia there to pay tribute to this year, it’s definitely going to be another night to remember. I continue to be proud of the work of our Black Music Collective as it’s a vital part of what we do here at the Academy. Dr. Dre already has seven Recording Academy awards, but this one is something new, as a Global Impact Award marks lifetime achievements in shaping the music industry across the world. Eminem — “Kamikaze” Surpassed 2.9 Billion Streams on Spotify

Eminem’s 10th studio album is also his fifth to earn this milestone on the streaming platform. In 2020, “Kamikaze” became Em’s fourth album to earn the milestone of 2 billion plays on Spotify. However, “Music to Be Murdered By” has been getting even more attention than its predecessor and quickly overtook it. MTBMB has already hit a 3 billion streams milestone while “Kamikaze” is on the way there. What’s good in this situation is that it clearly shows that Marshall is not just a legacy artist. His new albums keep getting traction, his art and craft are getting sharper, and the audience is hungry for his music. 50 Cent Works on “8 Mile” TV Show

After months of quiet anticipation and vehement denial, the news is out: “8 Mile” can be revived in a new form. The iconic hip hop movie celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2022. Eminem re-released the official soundtrack for the movie and styled the New York Mom’s Spaghetti pop-up after “8 Mile”. And then people started talking about, maybe, filming a sequel focused on B-Rabbit’s life of success. Artists involved in the creation of the classic movie didn’t support this notion. Meanwhile, Marshall did not comment on the situation at all, as usual. And then, all of a sudden, Fifty makes this statement on air during his interview with Big Boy: I’m gonna bring his “8 Mile” to television. It’s in motion. It’s gonna be big. I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting a hundred. I think it should be there for his legacy. It’s important to me that they understand it. [Steve] Stout said [hip hop] was the tanning of America because America was listening to Black music. It’s really the culture losing its colour for everybody to feel like they can enjoy it and appreciate it because they see someone who’s accepted and respected, it makes them a part of it also. The sentiment is clear but what about a storyline? Where a new “8 Mile” is going to take us? Fif has thought that through, of course. It’s a modern version. Think the new version of “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. I want to be able to show and offer a lot more details. Things that you would say in an interview or different things that you’ve already used, that you put out there. You’ll see these things surface. And the temperament of the characters. That’s actually, an interesting idea, to use Marshall’s verbatim. He reveals so much of himself already that screenwriters do not even need to invent anything. So, now we know that the show is in the works, Eminem knows about that and gave his blessing. Let’s see how it would turn out. Some fans are still slightly disappointed with Em’s short role in Fifty’s “BMF” show. Eminem — “Curtain Call: The Hits” Named Best Selling Rap Album in UK in 2022

The Official Charts UK website published the list of the Top 40 biggest albums of 2022. Marshall’s first greatest hits compilation is ranked higher than new albums from Doja Cat and Kendrick Lamar. “Curtain Call: The Hits” enjoys the spot inside the Top 10 of the most successful albums this year, despite being released 18 years ago. Sitting at No.6, the project is the only hip hop record that made it that high. Doja Cat’s “Planet Her”, the second hip hop album on the list, is ranked 24th. Dave and his record “We’re All Alone In This Together” follows at No.25. “Certified Lover Boy” by Drake ranked 34th, and Kendrick’s “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” got itself No.36. “Home Alone 2” from the UK sensation D-Block Europe has barely made it to the list and sits at No.40. Six hip hop albums on the list of 40 are not that much but competition with pop records is tight in the UK. Yet still, the only rap album that made it to the Top 10 was a classic compilation from Eminem. It seems like somebody is listening to him, don’t you think? 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg Cheer for Eminem’s Success in 2022

Without releasing a new project, Marshall remains to be relevant and successful, making unbelievable numbers on streaming platforms. And his friends are happy for him. 50 Cent recently shared news about Eminem being the most viewed rapper on global YouTube: That’s my Boy , Im gonna remind people i’m nice this year. New Music New Tv New movie let’s go! View this post on Instagram A post shared by 50 Cent (@50cent) Fifty based his information on a> tweet that provided YouTube streaming numbers for the most popular hip hop artists on the platform. @HipHopAllDayy has been reporting on the current numbers regularly, and every time they talked about YouTube streams — Eminem was topping the list as the most viewed rapper. So it is only natural that Marshall finished 2022 with over 5.1 billion views, the result almost twice as big as for No.2 on the list. 50 cent, who is also mentioned in this ranking with a relatively modest number of 1.8 billion views, acknowledged that he could have done better: I didn’t put nothing out in a while I would be mad if i was new and i wasn’t on the list. Fif’s website ThisIs50 chimed in, reminding that they remastered Fifty’s the entire video catalogue in HD & 4K. Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg joined the discussion, saluting Em for his resilience and longevity: Nice. Staying relevant Snoop also reposted Fifty’s first screen with the story about Em’s success.
